Dear friends,

In spite of the present worldwide situation, we cannot let this Easter go by without giving it its due importance. We have celebrated the Easter Triduum, the most important days of the liturgical year in which we celebrate the Passion, death and Resurrection of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. There is no resurrection without passion and death, while passion and death would not make sense if there were no resurrection. They are mysteries that form part of one mystery: our salvation. Personalizing this is a big help, like St. Paul: "He loved me and gave Himself for me." The words, "He loved me," and "for me," help us realize that when I gaze contemplate the mysteries of Jesus' Passion, death and Resurrection, it is as if He asked me, "And you?" That is, if Christ did this for you, what and how are you going to respond? Do I love Christ? Am I willing to surrender? We ought to ask ourselves sincerely these and many more questions with an open heart and act according the answer we find. Undoubtedly, Our Blessed Mother will help us. She is with us and intercedes for us in these difficult times so that we may remain faithful to Him who gave his life for love of us.
