Dear friends, A new year begins. Looking back on all that happened in the past year, one has the impression that this year will also be a year full of events that may test our faith and trust. This being so, it is a call to each of us as we begin the new year to place this year and our entire life in the Lord's hands with complete trust. We can bring to our hearts the words of St. Ignatius in his prayer: "Take, Lord, my freedom, my understanding, memory, will [...] give me only your grace and love, this is enough for me." Yes, take everything, Lord, but give me your love and grace. Nothing is impossible for God. We must have this clear and begin with confidence to do what we have to do, remembering that everything works for good for those who love the Lord. It becomes good because it is for our salvation. |
