"Rejoice, height inaccessible to human thoughts:
Rejoice, depth indiscernible even for the eyes of angels!
Rejoice, for Thou art the throne of the King:
Rejoice, for Thou bearest Him Who beareth all!".
The Church says that:
"Mary "stands out among the poor and humble of the Lord, who confidently hope for and receive salvation from him. After a long period of waiting the times are fulfilled in her, the exalted Daughter of Sion, and the new plan of salvation is established." (Lumen Gentium, nº 55).
How attractive is Mary because of her humility! Look at Mary in the Annunciation. Disturbed by the words of the angel she was at the same time at peace. She thinks and acts decisively. This is true humility: know God's voice, submit our judgment and our own opinion and follow his will, even though it might be hard. Do you imitate Mary in her faithful fulfillment of God's will?
Repeat throughout the day Mary's words "Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to thy word."
